December 19, 2023

Halo, a leading provider of agri-monitoring solutions in New Zealand, is excited to announce the acquisition of Vat-Man Milk Monitoring from DTS (Dairy Technology Services), further solidifying our position as a trusted partner for milk monitoring services.

This strategic acquisition marks a significant milestone in Halo's mission to enhance the experience of dairy farmers and milk producers throughout New Zealand. With a strong legacy of service and excellence in the industry, Vat-Man users will be transitioned onto the Halo platform going live from February 1, 2024.

Halo has a long-standing relationship with DTS, which has laid the foundation for this transition. The acquisition allows Vat-Man users to continue enjoying the same level of commitment and expertise while gaining access to additional resources and benefits provided by Halo.

"The team is thrilled about this expansion and the exciting journey that lies ahead for Halo and our new users. Our goal has always been to provide the best possible monitoring solutions to our valued customers. With the acquisition of Vat-Man, we're extending our customer base, and providing them with additional monitoring options and opportunities across their farm. Innovatively, Halo stands out by providing comprehensive solutions such as water and silo monitoring, as well as effluent management. We look forward to welcoming Vat-Man users to Halo."

Josh White, Managing Director, Halo

DTS's immediate focus is to ensure the Vat-Man customer transition to Halo happens seamlessly. DTS and Halo are collaborating closely to ensure this happens.

“The sale of DTS’s monitoring business provides a great opportunity for Vat-Man customers. Halo's expertise in agricultural monitoring will allow Vat-Man users to access additional integrated monitoring solutions. The decision to sell the monitoring business is aligned to our strategic direction of focusing on our core DNA of refrigeration services, vats, and drafting gates. We have some exciting projects in the pipeline that will not only benefit the dairy industry but also the wider food and drinks sectors.”

Gavin Thwaites, CEO, DTS

As part of the transition, Vat-Man users will continue to access their DTS dashboard and support team until January 31, 2024, ensuring a smooth and secure transition process.

Additionally, Halo has set up a user-friendly landing page for Vat-Man users, providing all the necessary information, resources, and training materials to help users get acquainted with the Halo Dashboard and its features. This page will be continually updated with how-to guides and instructional videos, making the onboarding process as seamless as possible for the Vat-Man customer base. View FAQ's and info page here.

Halo assures Vat-Man users that there will be minimal downtime during the transition and will strive to limit any disruptions throughout the transition period.
